Thai Foot Reflexology
Treat your feet–and legs!
Thai Foot Reflexology (or Thai Foot Massage) combines acupressure, stretching, and massage of the legs and feet with reflexology done with lotion and a smooth wooden stick.
The small end of the stick (as well as the long side) is used on the foot as a supported extension of my thumb. The end is big enough to give a nice firm pressure, but not so small as to cause pain. The stick gets used to stimulate various points all over the toes and foot, and also as a gliding warm-up prior to the manual foot massage.
Usually you receive this work like you would a Thai massage, lying fully clothed on a mat on the floor. However, by request, it can be done on the table, or as an add-on to a regular massage.
Some of the benefits of Thai Foot Reflexology include:
Healthier, happier feet and legs
Improved circulation in the feet and legs
Increased flexibility of feet and joints
Improved overall health
Stress reduction and relaxation
Better and deeper sleep
Reduced pain and stiffness
Provides a boost to the immune system
